A who’s who at Christ Church

Les Gray

Les leads the Celebrate Together family service, which is held on the first Sunday of the month, and the Morning Worship service, which is normally the third Sunday of the month. Les also has a Pastoral role in the church and close ties with the schools.

Dawn Cornes

Dawn is our ‘Lighthouse’ Sunday School co-ordinator, she says “we are a small, friendly and welcoming group, with children of various ages, who meet each Sunday morning to learn about God by reading stories, playing games, making things and doing activity sheets.” We would love to welcome you to our group.

Margaret Chettleburgh

Margaret is the driving force behind the ‘Mothers’ Union’

MU meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday evening of the month with talks from people about all different topics from Aardvarks to Zoology.

Don’t be put off by the word ‘Mother’, absolutely everybody is invited to come along for any event, to enjoy coffee and a chat.


Neil Kellett

Neil is a Church Warden.

Cav Peace

Cav is a Deputy Warden

He was Warden here at Christ Church for 9 years before standing down to Deputy Warden.

Cav is another one of our hard workers keeping the grounds, the church and the halls in perfect working order.

Daphne Ford-Powell

Daphne is a Deputy Warden

Roy Sansom

Roy is one of our maestro organists. Let the sweet sounds of Roy’s music relax & inspire you.

Quasimodo

Loveable Quasi is our bell ringer extraordinaire.

He enjoys nothing more than waking up the people of Coalville on Sunday mornings reminding them to come to church.

David Cox

David is part of the home visiting team.

David will visit the parents of children who are due to be Baptised, and will guide them through the process from start to finish.

By the way, would you  buy a house from this man ??!!!

Sylvia Peace

Sylvia is part of our home visiting team.

Sylvia will be more than happy to visit people in their own homes if they are unable to get out and about easily. She can come round just for coffee and a chat or Sylvia is trained to be able to give Holy Communion at home as well.


                               Richard Page

Richard became one of our Wardens just over a year ago. He can be found most mornings pottering around at church, always looking for something to do, Richard is one of a fantastic team that helps our grounds looking as good as they do.
